We are physically located in Koiwa, Tokyo. That means we can attend events in person, stand in line, buy at any store, and ship directly to your door anywhere in the world.

1What Is Proxy Shopping?

Proxy shopping means we act as your buyer inside Japan. If you find something on a Japanese website — Mercari Japan, Yahoo! Auctions, Surugaya, Animate, Rakuten, or any other local store — but can't buy it because they don't ship internationally, we buy it for you.

We receive it at our address in Japan, inspect it, and ship it directly to you anywhere in the world via FedEx.

The service fee covers door-to-door time from Koiwa Station, including travel and queuing. It is non-refundable once we depart.

On top of this you pay product cost + 20% product fee (min. ¥1,500/item). These are refundable if the item cannot be obtained.

Quotes for high-demand events (Comiket, WonFes) may include extra queuing time. We confirm the final estimate before you pay.

Transport fare (IC card) is billed at actual cost and included in your first payment quote.

1Proxy & Personal Shopper FAQ

How do I know my money is safe? +

We only charge you after confirming availability and providing a full quote. You approve before any money moves. The service fee is non-refundable as it covers our time, but the product cost and product fee are refunded in full if we cannot obtain the item.

How long does a proxy purchase take? +

For marketplace purchases (Mercari, Yahoo Auctions), typically 3–7 days to receive the item at our address, then shipping transit time on top. We'll keep you updated throughout.

Can you buy from any Japanese website? +

We cover most major Japanese platforms including Mercari Japan, Yahoo Auctions Japan, Surugaya, Animate Online, AmiAmi, and general retail sites. If unsure, just send us the link and we'll confirm.

How is the personal shopper fee calculated? +

We charge ¥5,000 per hour, door-to-door from Koiwa Station. Travel time (going and returning) counts, plus your estimated time at the venue. Minimum 2 hours. Actual train fare is added at cost. Use the Fee Estimator on the Personal Shopper tab for an instant quote.

Why is travel time included in the fee? +

Our time begins the moment we leave Koiwa Station and ends when we return. Travel is a real part of our commitment to your request — we block out our day for you.

What if the item sells out before you reach it? +

The service fee is non-refundable — we spent the time and travel regardless. However, the product cost and 20% product fee are fully refunded. We always communicate in real-time and will notify you immediately if something sells out.

Can you attend an event not on your list? +

Yes — submit a custom request and we'll assess. Most Kanto locations (Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama) are covered. Events farther away (Osaka, Nagoya) may require a custom quote with additional travel costs.

What if the item arrives damaged? +

We inspect every item before shipping and photograph it for your records. If something arrives damaged in transit, we'll file a claim with the carrier and work toward a resolution.

Do I need to speak Japanese? +

Not at all. That's the whole point. We handle all communication with Japanese sellers and event staff on your behalf. You communicate with us in English.

Can I combine purchases with my regular Mandorama order? +

Yes! We can consolidate proxy or personal shopper items with items from our regular store into a single shipment to save on shipping costs. Just let us know when you submit your request.

What shipping method do you use? +

We ship via FedEx International Economy with full tracking on every order. For large or time-sensitive orders, FedEx International Priority is available. Shipping cost is based on actual weight and dimensions.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept payment in Japanese Yen (¥) via Wise, Bank Transfer, or PayPal Friends & Family. Payment must be completed before we take any action.
